would those non-tax payers include the corporations that receive million dollar tax abatements at the expense of the middle class? |
If they pay no taxes, sure. But be careful what you ask for -- even a struggling company like GE pays more income tax that the bottom 40% Americans combined. |
yeah, i remember when GE paid $0 on $108 billion because the money was parked overseas. That’s definitely more than the bottom 40%. https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/2852094 |
For that matter, why don't all the rural underemployed move out west instead of whining about losing coal jobs? |
Didn’t stop them from moving to Maryland or Virgina |
because anyone can get into college. The ballou PARCC scores show that less than 3% of the students met grade level expectations. And thats on top of missing all the school days. Any for profit school advertising on TV will take anyone with a HS diploma. How many of those college acceptances were to Phoenix or Cappella. or even UDC for that matter. its actually.terrible because the kids will take out too of loans and they read on a 3rd grade level. |
Also New Hampshire. |
You mean as slaves Or are you referring to Nigerian MDs |
Np. Good point. There’s so much opportunity in regions outside DC, and, as PP points out, we all have the freedom to live anywhere in these great United States. |
DP. They can carpool with the underemployed urban youth, so we can at least cut down on the environmental impact and they can all save on gas money. |
they made it into for-profit colleges willing to fleece them for $$. |
