I live in Logan Circle now but own in Georgetown as well. I'm looking for neighborhood(s) with those vibes - lots of amenities and stuff to do, great walkability, parks/trees, groceries, restaurants, bars, all within the neighborhood. I don't want to have to have catch a train if I don't have to or drive to pick-up stuff.

For a place to live - a mid to high rise with an elevator (no walk-up), laundry in-unit, doorman if possible. I would love to just to get a peek of people's lives there and their past experiences renting and living in their favorite neighborhoods. Thanks!

You plan on having a car in the city?

I have a small car now but 45% of my DC travel has been on foot, 15% by metro/foot, 35% by Uber and 5% by personal car. I'd like to keep that ratio if at all possible, so I'm looking for a neighborhood where a personal car is not a requirement for a daily commute to parks, cafe, groceries etc and/or even Ubering isn't required if I don't want to.

Single w no kids - so I'd like a place with young people who go out - cafes, bars, restaurants. Thanks for the note on Chelsea.

I think you would like Chelsea. Closer to W village would be awesome. The only thing you don't have access to is Central Park ( i mean you can get there you just have to take subway...it's not at your fingertips), but you can walk/run on the high line or along the river. Lots of restaurants, bars, shops. IT's really a convenient place with a good vibe. West Village is my favorite location but it's harder to find a place there and it will be smaller. And I like Tribeca too, but i think Chelsea/W village has a busier vibe and it sounds like you would like that.

Good to know!

Chelsea would be a great area then. We lived there before kids. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. There are even more now with the High Line.

Where is your office?

Park slope is more of a family friendly neighborhood. I would recommend looking at Williamsburg since its just a few stops ftom the city and is filled with singles who are into the night life with bars and restaurants on every block.

I work from home which is why I'd ideally like a 2 bedroom, one for my office and/or to co-exist as a guest room. I don't really care if its one of those loft/mezzines with no privacy walls on the second floor either.

Brooklyn.....loads of awesome nightlife and restaurants. Park Slope, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, etc. Manhattan is so 1990s.
