Attorney to create pet trust

OP here. Trust would be to fund the pet's expenses for the remainder of its life. Small dollars here.

$5K is one bad night at the vet. I spent almost $10k for surgery on my cat with chronic urinary tract issues, and approaching $2K this summer alone on vet bills for my dog.

I'm probably a bit unluckier than most, but it's certainly not uncommon.

I have a freaking bird who has a lifespan of up to 100 years. No way I'm sticking my kid with this beastie forever! I've been warned to make it part of the estate. If only I could find someone to take it from me but all the bird places expect you to pay $1500 a year for the expected life of the bird or $30,000 upfront.
