Help me choose a vacation read!

The secret wife. It's fiction. I was riveted.

I read this on vacation and it was a good, fast read. For something different - fun and satirical fiction - Crazy Rich Asians and the other two in the trilogy.

Dead Wake. It's about the sinking of the Lusitania by Erik Larson. It's a thick, detailed read so it isn't a good choice if you need to watch kids in the ocean, for example.

I just read -- and LOVED -- The Summer Before the War. It's more historical fiction, but just a great book.

Unorthodox is another idea. Autobiography.

Also Nothing to Envy by Barbara Demick. It's about North Korea.

If you want some easy fiction, there's The Nest (Sweeney) or Eligible (Curtis Sittenfeld).

American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld is fiction but is based on Laura Bush's life. I loved it.

I just finished Who Thought This Was a Good Idea by Alysaa Mastromonaco. It's about her years working for Obama. It's a fun read.

I really loved Ask Me Why I Hurt by Randy Christensen. He's a doctor who opened a mobile clinic to serve the homeless youth population in Arizona.

Another vote for Trevor Noah's memoir although I think it's better on audio. Hearing the stories in his voice is excellent.
