Holy child has a program for kids with LDs. So you can choose a lighter schedule, but they also offer a very rigorous schedule. |
Not Burke if this is your concern. |
I would recommend checking out Madeira -- they have an unusual schedule where they are taking only a couple subjects at a time during a 6-week or so block. I believe one of the major reasons for that is to diminish the homework load. |

Well, if you'd said Maryland too, you could go all the way and look at Fairhaven (http://www.fairhavenschool.com). It's a Sudbury school.
I find it so telling how outraged/confused some folks are by the question -- it's like it can't even fit into their worldview! |

Exactly.
OP here and I find most parents on this forum kind of scary intense, so I'm not surprised. But thank you to all of you who offered helpful suggestions. |
it's SO telling! +2 |
| This has been one of the best threads for me. Refreshing. |

How much homework do the "intense" schools have in high school? My kids are young so I have no idea. |
My Holton high schooler has about 3 hours a night on average. |
| Agree that an study hall can make a lot of difference - saves 45 min each night |
| This is a great thread. I am really interested as well. How about other schools including MD. |
| How about St. John's ? How is the HW load there? |
| Bump? |
| This thread is a joke right? A troll stirring the pot? Why would someone actually be looking for a school with the 'least" amount of homework? |
