How does having DC's uncharismatic, unknown-outside-of D.C., barely-effective mayor over to the Oval Office for a 10 minute unannounced visit help Trump in any way, shape or form?

If you go to any of the states where Trump won (when we were told he couldn't possibly win them) you'd have to look long and hard before you found anyone who knew who Muriel Bowser was.

I don't know about this. As a Washingtonian and a Trumpster opponent, I don't care what his motives were. I'm glad to see that he took an interest in the city he will be residing in for the next four years. Obama, for whom I voted both times, basically called us wimps after his first snow storm here. Also, taking the head of WMATA with her was a master stroke. I honestly didn't think Bowser had it in her to think that swiftly.
