LAST chance to STOP Devos!

Wouldn't the senators just ignore calls from people who don't vote in their states?

Change.org has a petition going.

The senators I called didn't even ask where I was from. They're getting so slammed with calls. I waited five minutes for one. Voting 6:30am tomorrow. Let's keep keeper fingers crossed

Is this vote actually happening?

The vote was just procedural- it wasn't the actual vote on the nomination.

When do they officially decide?

Worth reading this op-ed by new Senator Maggie Hassan of NH on why she can't support DeVos / IDEA and experience as a parent of a student with SN.

I loved her questioning of DeVos during the hearing. She was on point and respectful.

We will make as many calls as we can & I have also forwarded to my friends & family (I have a HUGE supportive family & we do everything for one another!).
Thanks to whomever posted this wonderful info!

This made me smile. So glad your friends and family are on board too!

Thanks... I'm glad I could put a smile on your face.
And I meant it, we've had 22 friends and family members who live in Pennsylvania & Nevada call repeatedly over the past 2 days.
Some had to (gladly) wait on hold for 5 - 10 minutes & Pennsylvanias mailbox was primarily full, but my sister in law used her sneaky super spy google skills & found out who Toomey interns were & she had us start calling them instead of him directly (that worked for about 30 minutes & then we were told we had to call him, but we got in about 20 calls in that time).
We've had to leave more voicemails than spoke to actual people, but if we're talking about rocking it old school, my grandparents had everyone in their senior assisted living facility right letters to Senator Toomey & my grandfather even hand delivered them himself to his office.

So, we'll see on a Monday if we've made a difference, good luck to all of us! (((( hugs))))

Just curious. Did ANY of you actually watch all three hours of her hearings, reading her background and know exactly where she stands on issues? Because you are all buying into a bunch of falsehoods being circulated by the Dem Senators and the NEA (National Education Association), which doesn't care about education, it cares about teachers. It is the largest teachers' union in the USA. And you are eating their line, hook & sinker.

care to expand in more detail to defend her abilities and record to protect public education and prevent fraud? or do you just think attacking unions is enough?
