"philanthropic causes" ?? You consider BLM one of his philanthropies? They've done nothing but worsen race relations.
....

No. Philanthropies are charitable, not political. He has given billions in addition to what he has given to political causes. I guess you didn't now that.

Trump is a cheap, he also does not have 2 billions to donate.

Or he could be like Obama and donate just .4% to charity.
What a roll model of charitable giving our president was.

But typical of a liberal - do what I say, not as I do.

BLM has done wonders for race relations. Another good job, Obama!

+1 less than a 10% dip for him. My portfolio has seen bigger swings.

They are also freaked about about being the target of his tweets. There is just too much danger. If he likes a company they get boycotted and if he doesn't they get chastised.

Yes, I am a senior leader in a major area company and we are during crisis management drills using the scenario that we are the next subject of one of Trumps tweets. Crazy.

This. Everyone is watching the LL Bean fiasco with horror and wondering who is next.

You seem to be caught in #FactFreeNation. LMGTFY:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/beltway/2016/04/20/president-obamas-2015-income-tax-return/#744cfd41a5b1

Like millions of other Americans, President and Mrs. Obama filed their 2015 tax return shortly before Monday’s deadline. Unlike most of us, they also posted their return on the White House website for everyone to see. In many ways, their return paints a picture of a typical high-income working household—with one major exception: The Obamas gave much more generously to charity than most, even more than most of their fellow one-percenters.

More than 90 percent of the first couple’s income came from the president’s salary—the same $400,000 the country has paid its commander -in-chief since 2001 (reduced this year by a few thousand dollars for some unstated reason). The president also earned about $56,000 in book royalties and only a few hundred dollars from investments. After subtracting contributions to a retirement plan, a deduction for Medicare tax on the president’s income as an author, and $3,000 of capital losses, the couple’s adjusted gross income (AGI) totaled $436,065.

Like about a third of taxpayers—and nearly all high-income households—the Obamas itemized deductions. They reported more than $48,000 of state and local taxes, over $36,000 of mortgage interest, and $64,000 donated to charitable causes. The first two are fairly typical of people at the Obama’s income level but giving away about 14 percent of income is unusually generous, far more than the 2 percent Americans typically give away.

There must be a typo. They donated 14% not .4%.

It's great! Just look at the Ferguson effect, the resulting death toll, and Chicago!

Sorry to burst your bubble of Obama being so perfect:

When then-presidential candidate Obama released his tax returns during the 2008 campaign, it was revealed that he began making more gifts to charity after he decided to run for president.

Here’s what the numbers look like:

2005: $77,315 to charity out of income of $1.66 million (4.6 percent)

2004: $2,500 out of $207,647 (1.2 percent)

2003: $3,400 out of $238,327 (1.4 percent)

Pathetic for such a liberal who expects to have hard working people give their wages to those who won't work.

I'm embarrassed for him.
Really.

Glad Obama was so successful in re-distributing the wealth.

Seems like his policies took money from the middle class....

Wondering when the last time a Republican presidential candidate had an income of $200k?
