Perhaps you need to look within yourself. Maybe your friends and family are not the problem.

+1 read the post in independent schools. Kids say they are HRC supporters just to avoid vilification.
Tolerance on the parts of liberals is a joke.

I have a FB friend who posted that she doesn't believe someone could be a good person and still vote for Trump.

This is sooo true. I wanted to have a KKK rally at my kid's school and they wouldn't allow it! So much for accepting diverse viewpoints!

It's unethical to be tolerant of bigotry and misogyny.

There are three types of Trump supporters:
1) racist
2) people willing to put aside Trump's racism and misogyny to achieve their own political objectives, and
3) low information voters who just want to vote someone in who will shake things up.

Only 3 is tolerable.

As much as I make fun of Trump, I dislike Republican politics even more than the candidate. I do not understand why people get so hang up on candidates. I much prefer a parliament system where we vote for parties.

When my husbands family sat at the spinner table, stating that Israelis are brutal people, this Jewish girl distanced herself. They didn't get it just like you don't.

^^ dinner table, not spinner. Though that's what they were doing

And who do you then turn to to clear your name when someone arbitrarily decides you are bigoted or a misogynist?

Voting for Trump is a deal breaker for me, too.
You can't mask ignorance, lack of intellectual curiosity, bigotry, racism and a lack of respect for women.
The next book I plan to read is Hillbilly Elegy.
Trumpeters, look it up.
It may explain you to the rest of us.
And, it's so popular, the waiting list at my neighborhood library is weeks long.

I get it, OP -- voting for Trump is a dealbreaker.

And I don't understand people who think supporting Hillary is somehow "ok" and just another perspective. She's evil, self-serving, vulgar, vile and has already been a traitor to the country.

Traitor? That means allegiance to some other country, some other government. A, which country? B, evidence? Please cough up proof that she is a traitor, or that she has murdered people, or whatever it is. You may know this deep in your heart, but I really don't care if you cant prove it.

Vulgar? The fuck you say! My God! A vulgar politician?

She is however a former secretary of state and US senator. Miliions of my fellow Republican primary voters ensured that her opponent would be unqualified, uninformed, basically picked because he was the biggest asshole on stage during Republican debates. Those millions of people are unpatriotic; they just seem to want to jam things up without having a plan. (Christ knows Trump doesn't have a plan.)

My parents and I know better than to discuss it. We are very close, but don't agree on this.
