Oh please. Most of the "local" contracts are just fronts that filter the money to outside vendors and skim off their piece. It's done all the time. |
| Infuriating and disgusting. Bowser should be out for this. |
|
$16M vs $6M is a huge difference. No way should a local contractor preference override that.
Doesn't Anita Bonds still work for Fort Myer? |
+10 million. Her behavior during the whole thing stinks to high heaven. |
I believe Bowser ran on an anti-corruption platform. From the Muriel for Mayor website: "Bowser disdained business as usual and corruption in the District’s government..." |
|
Those are words. Yet to see any action reflect that statement.
It is very Trumpian. |
Fenty is working at Perkins Coie (law firm). Has been there for 3+ years. |
| I stand corrected, thank you. |
Didn't realize that
Perhaps we need to get ready to vote for someone outside the local Democratic machine. Same as many Republicans will not vote for Trump...DC Democrats should vote for an Independent candidate next time. |
Yes, please. |
| It used to be the case that DDOT specified a particular type of asphalt mix for paving projects in DC. Coincidentally, Ft. Meyer was one of the few companies capable of supplying this particular mix. Not surprisingly, it kept the bigger non-DC firms from bidding and driving down costs. |
| Hey, maybe Councilmember Anita Bonds can help drive out that corruption with Ft. Meyer... oh crap. |
+1,000,000. These people will say anything to get elected. We need to start with a clean slate. |
Who would be a credible Independent candidate? |
Yes. For Gray detractors, please cite how he enriched himself while serving as mayor. |
