The movie "Up" - has anyone seen it? Is it appropriate for a 4 year old?

And this theme is a great example of why many movies advertised for kids don't always turn out to be really appropriate for kids. Just because there are singing and dancing animals doesn't mean that it is written with kids' developmental needs in mind.

Perhaps children should be getting their developmental needs met at home with their parents and not from a movie... Maybe I am a poor parent but I don't, and I don't think many people do, bring their children to the movies to stimulate their development. If that's what you want then perhaps you should invest in the entire Little Einsteins Library and stay home.
