Do you let your 3 year old wear nail polish?

Let me guess, age 13 for ears pierced?

Age 10, actually.

I said for me, personally, didn't I?

You run your railroad, and I'll run mine!

I think people are annoyed at your implication that if they let their kid use nail polish, they're allowing them to look too grown up.

My sons wanted their nails painted at age 3. We compromised with glitter toenail polish.

Do they see each other at the pool or splash park? Because I don't understand kids who wear sandals for a normal day's activities. Protect your kids' feet and joints, parents! Sneakers!

1) Fingers?

2) sandals vary greatly in the amount of support. Some are fine for a "normal day".

Mine too! I let them pick whatever color for their toes, but not fingers currently. He makes way too big a mess before it dries!

Well, I don't care what you let your kids do, or how "grown up" they look, which is what the words "for me personally" we're for! Geesh.

I don't have any issue with what you said. The poster who called it "trashy" is crazy.

Well then what was the snarky "let me guess, 13 for ears pierced" all about? Just so you know, implying that parents who wait until 13 for pierced ears are uptight/lame is just as obnoxious as people who say young kids wearing nail polish or pierced ears are "trashy." You do you.

Yep. Since she was about 2 or 2.5-- Piggy Paint, as others said-- doesn't really last.

She wanted it, I didn't think it was any big deal... and I dress her very gender neutral most of the time, FWIW. If not for her hair, she'd be mistaken for a boy (sometimes still is). It's fun, right?

Yes I let my 3 yo wear painted nails. What is the concern? Who looks grown up in hot pink nail polish?

You are confused. There are multiple posters. I am the one who said I didn't take issue with what you said. I did not make the comment about being 13 for ear piercing.

Yes. Sometimes she asks me if she sees me doing it, and I am happy to do it. We have fun doing nails together!
