It is a great movie. If your 13 yr old is mature, then the implied rape scene may be ok, but otherwise, I'd wait.

I love that movie. a mature teenager could handle it. My son is only 9, but I could see him obsessing over being falsely accused and put in jail.

I do, too. I still think it's a great movie, but I have trouble with books/movies where the theme is wrongly/falsely accused.

It is definitely a classic, but it has a dark theme. There are several instances of implied forced sodomy on the main character. For that reason, I'd let an older teen watch but not a younger teen.
