My brother's wife just left him for a married man she met at church!

This happened to two married couples that went to my church growing up. I felt so horribly for the spouses left behind. I'm sorry for your brother.

We fired our minister. A parishioner left because she disagreed with the vestry's decision. A couple month later, the parishioner left her husband and moved in with the minister. In hindsight, it explained a lot.

The first part of Holy Rollers is Ho. Coincidence? I think not.

I know many church going people who live their life like this.

My brother had an affair with another teacher at the school where they taught. It wasn't the school's fault. He and his cookie were holy rollers too. LOL.

Yea,

When bad things happens it's not the church/God's fault. I bet if there were stories of people who met in church, fell in love, got married and had a 50+ year long happy marriage, you'd say the church/God had a hand in that.

Same exact thing happened at my church too when I was a teen. The Assistant Music director left her very nice husband for a married man (who was also a member of the church with his wife and kids). This music director and her husband were very involved with the teen youth group, as they were both mid 40s and had no kids. I remember her just no longer showing up and us teens were given no explanation. My mom later told me. All of them dropped out of the church immediately and didn't keep in touch. They had all been a part of the church for 10+ years and literally dropped off the face of the earth.

And so many of our church officials and elders were gay as f*ck, even though married with kids. I know at least three or four who came out of the closet in their 50s. My mom still attended the church by herself after all us kids left the coop, just because it was so entertaining to see the drama and relay it back to us

We were Lutherans, Missouri Synod (most conservative branch of Lutheranism)

No need to ask forgiveness if "just the tip" slipped in.

In my town growing up, a kid on the tennis team with me had a dad who was a pastor, then had an affair with his secretary and left his wife. Christians are no different from non-Christians in terms of morality.

Unless the top of the tip had a drip slip.
