Preteen boys growth spurt. What do I need to know?

My son grew 7 inches last year and cannot stop eating. He is tall and lanky. Turns fifteen next week. Oh, and he just told me he outgrew his sneakers I bought two months ago.

I just bought my 13 yr old shoes that were 1.5 sizes bigger than the ones he was wearing. He grows so fast. He was always an early riser and now can sleep till noon every day if I let him. Very slender and eats like horse. After dinner, he says, "what's for dinner?" Welcome to puberty. You are at the very beginning of it.
