Growing up I used to love going to Pizza Hut. The pizza was really really really good.

We just got a notice about book it so I guess it is still going on. My 7 year old is very excited.

I used to love it too but its all frozen and generally cold and overcooked when delivered. I'll get it at Target sometimes and ask them to make me a fresh one. Most of the ingredients are not fresh.

I used to work there when I was in High School. The products definitely changed. They used to make the pan pizzas fresh every day, later they started using frozen dough for everything.

I picked some really good PizzaHut panned pizza the other day. You have to try honey sriacha crust. So good.

Maybe they use less lard these days?

My best friend in HS used to work at Pizza Hut and I'll never ever eat there again after seeing her prep a pizza. So disgusting!

For deep dish I liked Pizzeria Uno.

My husband and I have this talk a lot about foods or restaurants we used to love and now think are disgusting. We never can decide if the quality of the product went down (always possible), or if our tastes back then were so immature we thought a crappy product was good, or if we have simply been exposed to so much good food as adults that we now know what we once loved is utter shit.

Could be any three.

This thread is timely b/c I am pregnant and was just craving a pan cheese pizza from them. Now that I'm not that much of a fast food fan as I was in my younger days, I wonder if it would taste as good once I got there.

I worked at Pizza Hut for a short amount of time during college. To get the old-style pizza hut pizza, I'd recommend ordering deep dish. If you want pepperonni as a one-topping, I'd suggest adding extra cheese.
They changed how they did cheese in the last 5-10 yrs and it's skimpy now. Just pay for extra.
I'm a fan of Papa Johns now, if we're ranking the big chains. Love that garlic sauce in the box. Love their non-skimpiness of toppings and cheese.

Other than that, we never ate there or had their pizza.

It was for Book It. I loved going to Pizza Hut with my family to have my Book It pizza.

+1 Book It!! Using my Book It coupons was something I really looked forward to. I loved the personal pan pizzas. I haven't been to a Pizza Hut in years...thanks for the memories, OP

Your canvas was small as a child, ie my kids love it when the grandparents take them to the Golden Corral. I never go, can't stand it but kids think its great.

Seems fitting for the line about pizza and sex, even when its bad its still pretty goo(atleast for a guy)

I grew up in NY, so the idea of going to Pizza Hut was horrifying. We viewed that as the place people who moved to NY from the midwest went, because they were too ignorant to know any better.

Once I was in Florida and a few girlfriends and I went to Pizza Hut. It was as disgusting as we thought it was.

I have a picture perfect memory. It was really good pizza I swear.
Perfect for sleep overs, slumber parties, birthday parties.
Also great for hungry kids eating out after little league baseball, soccer, basketball games. Swim team etc...
