$600 isn't that cheap for a couch. There's lots of places you could swing that.
England Furniture in the Kentlands Belfort Furniture in Sterling (they have an outlet area and also a "less expensive" area) Marlo Value City Furniture World Market Macy's Home Store at Montgomery Mall or Ballston Mall HomeGoods (it's TJMaxx but with home stuff....there are a few locations.....it's one of those crapshoot places) C-Mart I'm not a huge fan of IKEA couches. They high-end ones are nice but they are the same price you'd spend anywhere. |
| A big second on Jennifer Convertables! We've bought a sectional, a couch and a loveseat from them over the past 10 yrs. They're a quality that will wear well and they look fashionable. They also have sleepers of every size couch. |

I second Belfort Furniture in Sterling. We got a new couch there (custom upholstery- we got to choose from tons of fabrics) for about $800, but we got sleeper which added about $200. Their delivery charge is about $80 or you can pick up for free if you have the right vehicle. There were definitely cheaper options than the one we chose, not to mention the clearance room that a PP mentioned.
Ikea is great as well. They have a nice sofa called Ektorp I think, and its slipcovered, machine-washable, and to me looks just like the Pottery Barn Basic slipcover sofa. Good luck! |
