Antique/consignment furniture?

Looking for some background history on Maitland & Glascoe furniture. I have an antique desk by the brand however, there is little online information about the company.

I like Gallery of Rare Treasures, mahogany furniture from 1900 - 1950... if you like those styles.

Front Porch / Back Dorr - FP is their studio in Falls Church. BD is a huge warehouse of used furniture. Some in great condition, some in need of repair. The husband does a lot of the repairs and some staining. The wife is the main person who you can work with on ideas for painting/refinishing a piece.

You're best bet is to walk around both places and talk to them about what you're interested in. They may have a piece to work with or will keep an eye out in their searches.

Reminds me that I need to call and see if our console table is ready

I highly recommend Chartreuse & Co and Sweet Clover - both are antique/vintage barns in Frederick, MD. They are fabulous and offer all kinds of furniture, much of it painted, for reasonable prices. Their sales are held once a month on the 3rd weekend, and the best way to preview their offerings is to check out their Facebook pages where they post hundreds of pictures prior to each sale.

I also find & paint vintage furniture here in DC if anyone is interested in a specific piece: http://surrenderedgoods.blogspot.com/

happy hunting!!
