Beer and wine are provided at my office. Usually people only partake on Friday afternoons after 5. I first thought it was a little strange but I have not seen anyone abusing alcohol.

Unless you are a doctor, I see no problem with it. If you are a doctor, I don't see much of a problem either. Some of the docs I used to work with kept booze at their desks.
