Is Rasika over-rated?

It's my favorite restaurant in dc. By far. Excellent service and I've never tried anything I didn't like. Truffle oil naan! Daal makhani! Tandoori salmon! All sooo good.

No one will ever 100% agree on how good a restaurant is. There will ALWAYS be someone who thinks a place is overrated. I have a friend who despises Komi with a passion and insists that it is terrible, despite the fact that 95% of food critics give it high marks.

I happen to think Rasika is delicious.

While I don't despise Komi, I wouldn't go back.

But I do really like Rasika and don't think it's overrated. I also think it's a pretty good deal compared to other top rated restaurants. I've had better meals at the new one than the original, despite the original getting better ratings from food critics.

Indian here. I like it ok. It is one of DC's better restaurants. But let's face it, DC has a low bar in terms of food.
