I am also struggling with this. DS wakes up between 5 and 5:30am, so morning workouts are out for me. I am trying to get on the treadmill at home as soon as he goes to bed at night (7pm) and at least get a half hour run in. It's still somewhat hit or miss, and I'm not always as motivated as I wish I was, but I figure something is better than nothing right now. |
I wake up at 4 am in order to get my 3.5 miles run, if I don't, I can't work out due to schedule conflict. the hardest part is getting up, but once I am up, I can't wait to hit the gym. the only thing is that DS and I both go to bed at 8 or 830. You have to do what you have to do. |
30-Day Shred. All you need is 20 minutes. It'll be the hardest 20 minutes of your day, but it will do. |
Also, when my baby was under 12 mos. I worked out with the baby using the baby as a weight. You can do crunches, bridge, shoulder press like exercises, biceps -like curls (two-hands), side twists, lunges, squats etc. sometimes the baby magazines have good examples. Obviously, you cater the exercise to the age of the baby. But, my baby loved when I did the bridge and of course lifting him up in the air over my head. He is 24lbs. now. He still loves it but I can only do one or two lifts over the head. And if your baby doesn't move around too much or you can keep the baby in a bouncy chair still, then pop in a yoga video! |
