Her mango pit? ๐๐๐๐ |
Yup! Both my kids love them. Slice both sides off the mango, slice the peel off the pit and hand it off. Chilled it makes a great teether. She got off a surprising amount of fruit with just two lower teeth and it kept her busy all dinner. |
So..you gave her a peeled mango, not a mango pit. |
No, thatโs not what PP said. Are you familiar with mangoes? |
Could be a choking hazard...ask your ped., not here! Feels more like this is about you and bragging to other mommies how your baby just adores lettuce and micro greens! |
She said her mango pit - it sounds like she just gave her kid the pit from the middle of the mango to chew on, which...why? |
Mango pits have ling been a staple of BLW. They can be frozen and used as teethers and are safe to gnaw on. |
When they can safely eat it. |
Itโs not a pit like in a peachโ itโs basically a large rectangular slice in the center of the fruit. Itโs big enough to hold and I can see how it makes a great teether. |
If you Google mango pit baby teething youโll find all the answers to your questions and pictures of what we mean. Itโs good for teething, which I guess you didnโt read in the original post. Itโs also good for good oral motor development and learning to hold slippery foods. It also tastes good. And since itโs huge and thereโs not a ton of fruit on it, itโs a lot choking hazard. |
Greens cut very finely or thrown in a processor and then mixed with avocado or guacamole essentially.
Toddler loves eating guacamole mixed with greens and chips to dip You know your kid but it is a choking hazard. Yes to mango pits. |
