Oops, pp here, I was talking about the first shitshack, not the second one.

Not sure, but it is hard to police crime on the md/dc border.

crap neighborhood on the border. Not close to metro. Terrible schools. Zero interesting neigbhohood character. defintiely the ghetto end of Michigan park

So, where's the nice end of Michigan Park?

I really want to like Michigan Park, but man - row after row of brick boxes is just depressing.

Kinda like street after street of brick rowhouses? People seem to love those.

I think you might find it somewhere in 2020.

Michigan Park is beautiful between 10th street and south dakota.
below 10th is ugly but most of it is beautiful and tree-lined.

Michigan Park and Brookland do not yet command that price point. for that money they can be in a SAFE neighborhood that is not in the midst of regentrifying.

That part of town is more PG County than DC. It's up and coming but not there yet. I think you would actually have better options for schools five minutes down the road in Hyattsville downtown.

I think you are out of touch with Brookland. I will agree that perhaps, Michigan Park does not (yet) command that price point, but a SFH in Brookland certainly does.

Nah, the schools are not good in that part of the county. HES is up and coming but not there yet and the rest, Chavez, Chillum, Rosa Parks, are really bad.

That's a beautiful house, but I can't imagine anyone paying over $1 million in Brookland. And I live in NE, so I'm not a NW partisan. That just seems really high.

I agree! I am the quoted PP and a Brooklander, but that is what houses are going for now. It's a little insane.
