Luxury car? Fine.
Huge gas guzzling whale of a car? Not fine. |

They choose to spend/save differently.
I don't care a lick what other people do with their money. I have no interest in expensive cars, but I spend a ton of money on wine. Everyone has their "vices." |
+1 It was just a matter of time where 20 mil will be declared not truly rich. Billion is a new million, I guess

| Hhi of 800k 2 million dollar home paid off. Savings of about 1.5 million. We don't spend a lot on jewelry. We take nice vacations. I drive a Honda pilot. DH drives a range rover. DH also has a Porsche. We eat out a lot but not at extremely expensive restaurants very often. We spend alot at wholw foods. We are savers but also rather young. I'm 28 and dh is 34. We could save a whole lot more and I get nervous when we splurge. |
Wow, congrats! What line of work are you in? I need to get in that field! |
Love this reply! Got my laugh for the day. |

If the dollar crashed, what would y'all do?
You got gold? Ammo? |
| If being stupid got me this far I'll just keep being stupid I suppose. I've been called worse. |
I'm a SAHM my dh has a security business. |
Securing what? We can afford to splurge. What I don't understand is people who want this and that and are constantly looking at the Joneses, trying to keep up. Its just not realistic to drive new cars every two years (and we all know its stupid to lease), not have your houses paid off, buy the best clothing, drink the best wine, ad infinitum. I mean really, it has to stop somewhere. Most people I know are planning for their futures, and their investments do not allow for blowing all of their money. If you are wondering why you don't have this or that, you really have only yourself to blame. |
that makes zero sense. at least a large vehicle has utility. i.e., you think a mercedes coupe with 17 mph on premium gas is worse than a suburban at 15 mpg? |
