OP here: Today I went to Sushi Taro since there were two recommendations on it until noon . It was OK, but not spectacular. I will start going to the others. Thanks everyone. PS:
The best sushi I ate was not in California, but in Saint Paul, Minnesota. It was in heaven!

With flown-in fish, anything's possible. The best sushi meal of my life was at the Mikado in Salt Lake City.
