Where to buy a good duvet (not the cover, the insert)?

The Company Store has a lot of choices but you can also find a good selection at Kohls. Real down you have to dry clean, the fake ones can be washed.

WRONG. Real down can be washed in a large washing machine.

Take a close look at the overall sizes of the comforters you buy OP. I've noticed that the IKEA sizes are a little smaller than average and while they fit their own covers nicely, they might be too small for the typical cover you buy elsewhere. And the Comoany Store sells a lot if I resized comforters that might not be compatible with only their oversize covers.

If you already have your cover its helpful to know what the measurements are before you buy the insert.

Ikea. Lots of different thicknesses, styles, fill, etc and more reasonably priced. Just got one and I LOVE it.

I swear by the Eddie bauer classic light, just bought my 2nd for my DD. Lightweight, fluffy and warm. But its an investment. For I cheap one as an extra I bought at Ikea.

Secondary advice: Get two twins rather than one king duvet, if you plan to wash them yourself. Much cheaper and easier!

I have Macy's Hotel Collection (the non-down version because of allergies to down). It is seven years old and still fluffy, soft, and warm. I'll need a new duvet cover soon, but not a new duvet. I bought it during a white sale.
