When you buy a roasted chicken

it seems like all men disregard the food safety zone

fwiw, I'm a woman, and I'd leave it out (if it were an afternoon shopping trip, and we were eating it in a couple hours) Seems a waste of energy to cool it off artificially only to have to heat it up again almost immediately. Seems like that can't be good for the taste, either.

I faced this dilemma earlier this week. I bought a chicken around 2 pm for dinner around 6 pm. I decided to wrap it in foil and put it in my crock pot on the "warm" setting. The chicken was hot but still moist when we ate it.

the microwave works like a cooler also retains the heat.

i do a lot of cooking for groups and use the microwave and coolers all the time to keep things warm.
