Clomid and weight gain

Anonymous
Yes, it’s normal. If any “consolation,” the meds you are on now are the lowest dose you’d be on for ART; if you progress to IUI or IVF, you’ll be taking more hormones which cause higher levels of bloat and weight gain (for an average user; of course there are variables as with everything). So, if you can get pregnant with such a minimally invasive treatment now and only gain 8 lbs, that would be a huge win. Good luck!

I had no side effects from Clomid but Estradiol and Progesterone are horrible. Weight gain, bloating, mood swings, fatigue. Others who have experienced this: does it go away? I’m considering asking my doc to lower the dose (I don’t have any known infertility, just gay - so maybe he will be willing)

I'm on 50 mg Clomid plus gonal-f and ovidrel trigger.

I've gained 8 pounds in the past 2 months. I'm 5'6" and now 142 lbs. I've put all 8 lbs in my stomach. None of my pants fit and I'm really discouraged.

Is this a normal side effect of the meds?

Yes I did about 10 %
But after I stopped clomid my weight went down to normal it takes about 2 months
