Good wine for white wine sangria

We went to dinner with the kids at Mama Lucia last night and I had a glass of chillled "white merlot" (wine snobs, feel free to flame away -- I don't care and you'll feel better after you cut loose), and it was absolutely lovely on a hot summer night. It would be perfect for sangria -- it's a blush/cherry color, so simply add the fruit. Wish I could remember more details about its provenance (take that, wine snobs); am sending DH on a mission to get it today as I'm having a ladies' gathering at my house tonight.
