Of course I am against any abuse of workers that occurs in these settings, but long hours and low wages are usually economically beneficial to these workers, their families, and the local economy.

Tell that to the victims in Bangladesh. People like to reduce this a wage issue , but it's not. It's about powerless workers unable to defend themselves against abuses because the rest of the world chooses to believe it is just a wage issue.

I urge you to do some serious research.

+1 on Munro (and I had no idea they were MiUSA!) I have a couple pairs of their sandals as well and I am happy with the quality and the price

Thanks for starting this thread OP. I'd love to discover more American made brands as well.

Another women's apparel brand, moderately priced with some work-appropriate pieces, and mostly manufactured in the U.S., is Karen Kane. For casual shoes, OKA-b is also U.S. made.

I like this thread too - thanks for starting it, OP. I'll keep checking for added suggestions.

I found this thread while trying to find ethically made clothes for my kids. Thanks everyone for their input. Cydwoq is another shoe brand made in CA. Oak street boots is out of Chicago- mens only. There are a lot of denim companies too. Imogene and Willie is one and Gustin for men. Zady is a company out of New York that curates responsible clothing.
