Sidwell Sibling Policy

I know one family that got their first child into Sidwell, but decided not to go because of the sibling policy, they weren't confident enough that the other children would get in.

Sidwell makes a pretty good effort to let siblings in but sometimes it's just not the right fit.

I agree. Sometimes, fi the sibling has some really bad characteristic - like pathological lying and manipulation - the school just says "no go"

It does not have to be extreme. It can just be mediocre test scores. That kid will struggle at a school like Sidwell and its best for everyone in the longrun if they find another school.
