SAHP -- how many times do you change clothes throughout the day?

+1. At the most, I would change a top if it got food or spit up on it. PPs must do a lot of laundry!

If the baby gets me dirty, I usually try to wipe it off with a sponge or something. If it's that bad, I'll change. I don't wear a lot of yoga pants though. Jeans in winter. Skirt or shorts or dress now through summer. I don't wear anything uncomfortable. Well, maybe to a wedding or something.

I change a couple times a day. DD is still nursing so I like to wear easy access clothes, no bra, and comfy pants at home. Definitely wouldn't want to go out looking like that.

Same outfit for 2 days here.

It's not THAT hot out that you had to change into shorts, and if you weren't already changing to leave the house I think you would have been fine to leave on the jeans.

+1. I'd be willing to suffer through heat and grossness if it keeps the laundry down. I have 2 under 3 and wore one outfit today. When the baby was suffering through reflux I probably went through 3 tee shirts a day.

For instance, this morning I was going to playgroup so I pulled on a good pair of jeans and a nice t-shirt. When I got home, I swapped the nice jeans for leggings. Then the baby threw peanut butter on my shirt so I had to change shirts. Then I had to go do pickup and after-school activities with my oldest, so I pulled on a pair of shorts because the weather had warmed up and because I don't like to wear leggings out of the house. When I get home, I'll probably swap the shorts for leggings again so I can finish cleaning/making dinner without worrying about messing up my clothes.

I feel like I'm constantly changing clothes and making extra laundry, which I hate. But I feel like the trade off would be to wear leggings and beat up tees all day, and I don't know if I am ready to go down that route. I still want to pay at least a modicum of attention to how I look...

What about you? Do you just pull on one outfit and leave it all day? Is this not normal?

OM, you talk too much.

I don't think the number of outfits is unreasonable OP. But TBH the only item I would put in the hamper to be washed at the end of the day is the peanut butter shirt. I would probably still deem the rest perfectly fine to be worn again before washing. Wearing an item of clothing for a few hours does not automatically make it unfit to be worn again IMO.

I also change a couple times a day... Usually same to though unless something catastrophic.. I wear nice pants/jeans flats when I leave the house and comfy leggings/sweatpants at home.

I have a 5 month old. Wake up and shower while DH plays/feeds baby. Put on something cute and comfortable. That stays on pretty much all day unless DH spits up on me etc. So 1 or 2 times a day.
