watch out with raspberries -- we planted one bush and it's now taken over the full area! I even dug out the main roots one year, it came back!

Buy at Home Depot, but try to find out what day they get deliveries, and buy that day. HD doesn't always water their plants well, and the plants get stressed and won't survive if you buy them a week or so after they are delivered. They buy in volume and offer the best prices on shrubs and other plants. They have specials too, so watch the flyers for those, and you can save a lot of money, especially if you are doing a lot of landscaping. Don't buy "plant material" from a landscaper -- they charge double or triple what you'll pay at Home Depot.
