Why do women wear yoga pants everywhere?

I see buckets of women looking GREAT in yoga pants. I'm thankful everyday for their increasing popularity, and that women are confident enough to show off the bodies they work so hard on.
OP has some other issues that are fueling this negativity.

Holy Moses- how tight are the yoga pants you are seeing?! I don't run errands in mine because they are pretty roomy and I don't want to look like I am going to class to get sweaty (unless I am running errands on they way!)

I don't see this epidemic of skin tight yoga pants, offending public sensibilities.

i wear yoga pants because none of my pants are fitting me right now.

but i did realize that my yoga pants were actually making things worse. they do show every roll and awkward curve of my body and pantylines.

going back to jeans... new ones. that fit.

Because I WAH while kids are in school and don't have time to shower before I pick them up. Staying in my workout gear until I take a shower at 4pm allows me to have a workout I normally wouldn't have time to do.

FWIW, I am more modest and don't walk around unless something is covering my butt...coat, jacket, longer workout top, etc..unless I am in the gym actually working out. And my butts not bad--I just feel it's too much for everyone to see outside of the gym of if I am just on a run/jog.
