I used to think this would make me crazy/obsessive, but I find that it's actually made me understand my body better and helped me tweak what I'm doing in the moment. Last year I lost 10 lbs this way--weighing myself every morning, eating better, exercising (but not a ton). I've kept it off, and I think the daily weigh-ins play a big role by making me attentive but not obsessive.
I do this too, I lost 30 pounds more than 2 years ago and it's still off. I know when i'm losing control, starting to see the numbers creep up, and need to get back to strict good habits (e.g. ww tracking for me = how i lost the weight). Since i do it everyday, the daily fluctuations don't bother me anymore, but i dont like when people say to ignore them complete - if you pig out the night before, it's going to show up on the scale! There are water/pms/salt factors too, but weight gain generally means that you ate too much - at least to me - so when I start to see it, i know to eat less/better
