Can I use my child's pink eye drops?

20:55 here again. Of course it's Friday and next week is Spring Break skiing in Vail.

DD had an eye infection and went to her PCP and was scripted antibiotic drops 2 1/2 months ago. She has another one. Should she use her old bottle or should she use a new script I picked up from my doc today?

You got the drops today from your doc for you? Did he actually examine her?

Not every pinkeye is bacterial. Get someone to look at this kid's eye before you go on vacation.

Oh and I never travel without my little stash of meds. Too bad you have to take all the antibiotics as prescribed. I'd love to have those on hand to get a jump start on a UTI treatment or sinus infection.

My college roommate came prepare with a container of antibiotics her mother procured.

Can you order drops online? In Canada here were get them over-the-counter at Walmart or any drugstore. I see they are on Amazon.com too:

If you have a new prescription, I’d just fill it. I don’t remember the drops being that expensive.

Op here. My DD's old script has 'for contact wearers' on the bottle and the new bottle does not.

Ofloxacin .3%

Anyone know what the 'for contact wearers' is about?

Most cases are viral by a very wide margin.

Can I use my husband’s prescription antibiotic eye drops on our 3 yr old granddaughter until her appointment tomorrow?
My husband is adamant that it’s okay, but I am very hesitant.

*The name of the prescription on the bottle is:
Polymyxin B Sulfate and Trimethoprim Ophthalmic Solution, USP

I would. Do it before it spreads back to the kids or to your other eye.
