You sound really dense. The two neighborhoods have very similar types of housing, but the "soulless FC neighborhood" has far better schools.

One neighborhood borders one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in NOVA, and one doesn't. Enough said.

You live in typical suburban housing in a poorly managed city with bad schools, but it's not too far from Old Town? Yeah.

+1. The middle and high schools are terrible, you can't even be sure if your child gets to attend MacArthur, and it's not the interesting part of Alexandria.
