Wait, I thought the Republicans would chip in for the cupcake, but only with the stipulation that nobody discuss the cupcake or the proper way to eat it with her. |
what a great analogy |
You can also have "extreme/liberal" forms of each party. You can also have "moderate" forms of each party. To make things even grayer - you can be a social democrat, but a economic covservative. The libertarian party or independent party are usually the in-between parties. |
I confess that although I like to think that I think for myself, I have never strayed from the party of my parents. I wonder how party affiliation compares to religious affiliation with regard to acorns staying near their oaks. Any comments? |
Good to know that you're raising another Marxist. Later, you can explain to your daughter how well communism worked out for other countries. |
If you live in DC the Republicans will come from places like Wyoming to inform you that they have already chipped in for the cupcake. Then they will tell you how to eat it. If you live in places like Wyoming they will assume that you already know how to eat it. |
I think we may have created a new course for PoliSci departments: Cupcakes 101. |
That's what I keep thinking. Whatever happens, at least Bush and Cheney will be gone! ![]() |
Wow, people really ran with this cupcake this...we should send it to Politico.com... |
Sorry to have to inform you, but Marx's communism have never been implemented. No soviet leader ever claimed to have achieved communism. There are plenty of -isms around, but communism have never been accomplished. |
PP, thank you for making my point. |
Please, explain, what point? |
That's right, communism doesn't work. It is a political idea which is impossible to implement. Although, from your comment, you'd certainly be willing to give it another try.

Whew, those cupcakes are starting to taste pretty lousy! Time to lighten up a bit? |
To be fair, democracy's not exactly measuring up to its Platonic ideal, either. |
