| I don't hate the style/cut, but I DON'T think the dress will look like the picture. I think the fabric is probably very cheap and that it has been cleverly lit to look better than it does. |

The first dress I don't like - too much going on, and the fabric is probably cheap.
The second one looks trashier and is very likely see-through. |
Hey! I had at least one very much like this in the '80s. Let's see... I can think of 1 in particular that had all these elements together, except mine was pink (I was about 10), had a bigger cowl, and longer sleeves. |
| OMG! I get the Boston Proper catalog, and talk about trashy dresses. It is fun to look through, and try to figure out where in the hell i would I ever wear that! |
| Definitely ugly. |
| I like it - reminds me of a Victoria Beckham look. |
| I don't think it is trashy but I think it would be hard for most women to wear with the pockets on the hips and the unforgiving fabric. I'm not fond of the color either but I know some people could pull that brown off. |
| only 25 yo and under should wear this dress (or anything else from this catalogue.) Sorry. |
If you buy very very carefully, and are the kind of person who doesn't look trashy otherwise, they have some good stuff. You have to imagine the good dresses without spilling fake breasts and hooker heels. |
+1 Not trashy per se but definitely cheap and ugly. Very ugly. |
| I think it is the material that will make it look cheap. 95% viscose and that is a cheaper synthetic fabric. |
| It's got too many things going on and is ugly. The cowl neck, fine by itself. The tabs on the arms, too busy with a cowl neck. The bottom half with the pockets, just ugly. |
| Again, not trashy, but ugly. Drives me nuts when the company adds a flair - pockets on jersey?! - that ends up detracting from what would've been a good dress. |
| Yeah, cheap. |
| Both dresses seem particularly unflattering around the midsection. The second one even manages to make stick-thin models look like they have a gut. Or am I just really clueless about fashion? Is there a type of figure that these dresses would look really good on? |
