| Owed $160k now owe $40k. I work part time now so make $177k. Used to make more which helped me pay them down. |
Are you part time at a law firm? That's a great salary for working p/t! |
|
I don't have either (loans or an income).
DH has about $10,000 in loans...total annual income about $120,000 |
I am at a firm but I work 75% so it works out to around 40 hours a week. So part time is somewhat of a relative term . |
| Currently owe 150k (undergrad and grad) and make 84k. I have loan repayment that will total 66k. |
| Owe 56 but wish I owed more because the rate is 3.5 percent. I pay off as slowly as possible. Make 200. |
You wish you owed MORE??? |
Repayment through the feds or some other repayment? I've got about the same amount of debt and salary (I posted earlier) and would kill for a position with repayment. |
| Orig. amt - $65k; still owe $30k; make 200k. 2.875% interest rate provides little incentive to accelerate payments, but I pay about $200 extra per month just because I hate watching that interest compound! |
| Original amount - 200k combined w/ husband, now $130k. We now make $270k combined but he was unemployed for 2 years which slowed down repayment. This year we're hoping to make some progress. |
| Owed $130k after law school; now down to about $58k a little more than a decade later. I make $155k as a government lawyer, and received a total of $12k in loan repayment funds on my federal loans a few years back from my agency. |
| Owed $0 (Had scholarships for undergrad and a fellowship for my MS) now make $115k. DH owed about $25k which we paid off early once we stopped being able to deduct the interest. He now makes $125k. |
Yes, because the PP is a PUBLIC SERVANT for all taxpayers, including you. |
I have repayment through my local government job--a program that repays because I am in the healthcare field and serve the underserved. |
