Why is it that the liberal posts sound witty and the conservative posts just sound mean?

I was a democrat once, but then I went to college, graduated with an actual skill, got a job, and paid my taxes. Now, I stop working mid-day to check the politics blog of DCUM to see what the 99% is up to.

There won't be a contraceptive section if Santorum is elected.

I'm retired at 40. I'll never vote Republican.

Bullshit! He doesn't believe in birth control personally, he has never stated or implied that he would try to ban birth control in America.

And you don't think he is going to try to extend his personal beliefs to the American public? That is exactly what I am understanding from him.

and to add, if this "personhood" goes through, certain methods of birth control (such as the IUD) would be banned, since it prevents implantation (AFTER fertilization when personhood starts).

9:17, I agree with you. The fact that Santorum considers environmentalism to be an ideology, and an ideology to be a secular theology, shows that he does not distinguish between religious beliefs and public policy.

9:19, I also agree with you. One problem with this law is that what the supporters claim it is intended to do is different from what the foreseeable consequences will be.
