Moms of Twins: What one item was a "lifesaver"?

The problem with the ergo is that it can't be used for very small babies that don't have any head control yet. For the first 6 months or so, a Bjorn is a life saver.

This is why I would just get a gift card. People have different preferences. I do not like the Bjorn. I liked Moby for newborns and Ergo later (though people do use Ergo with the infant insert).

Mom of twins - a gift card to somewhere like Amazon. com or diapers.com or a meal service (but you should ask them their preferences and then arrange the meals for them as well). IN the beginnning, everything is so overwhelming - any help or thoughtfullness would be much appreciated.

If they live in the city, foodlerbucks (gift card for a restaurant delivery aggregator site)--but check they live in the delivery area: https://www.foodler.com/.

Twin mom here - our best gift was some Omaha Steak Lasagne meals that one of our out-of-state friends sent us. We really appreciated that.

another twin mom here -

I second food delivery, time, and gift cards. We got gift cards to Buy Buy Baby and it was great - there was always stuff that we needed at different phases.

I would skip the extra baby equipment - hopefully your friend will join a parents of multiples club and she can buy additional boucy seats, swings, etc. used and save everyone money.

Alcohol. I couldn't have made it without it.

Unless she registered for it, I'd skip the carrier, it is very much a personal preference. Absolutely agree with meals and time. People came over and also took our older child out as well, which was awesome...good for her and us. Neighbors mowed our grass, did our laundry, walked our dog. We had two months of bed rest followed by three months of NICU and people stuck with us throughout. I swear we have the best neighbors ever (and friends too!)

Whatever carrier for your friend wants. I used a moby at first but it is very much a personal preference. THe biggest lifesaver for me was a swing. I had a hand-me-down version of the fisher price cradle n'swing - having a swing that was higher up than those portable swing was a huge help because then I could arrange one swing right next to the glider and (sorta) comfort both babies at once (one in a swing and one being rocked by me in the glider.
