roasted brussels sprouts- where have these been all my life??!

I make the roasted cauliflower with garlic from the Gourmet cookbook, which is a similar recipe but using minced garlic instead of bacon. It is amazingly delicious. My family despises cauliflower in any other format, but will devour this. We can't make enough. Highly recommend it as a Thanksgiving side dish.

I love brussels sprouts, so I tried this last night. Yuck! Not only did they not taste that great (I prefer them steamed) but it stunk up my house something awful. My kid ate one. And she's pretty good about eating vegetables. Husband also ate one. I ate three, then decided life is too short.
