How do I get access to the child care network of Kingstowne/Franconia?? TIA

We live in Kingstowne and are in the Lane/Twain/Edison cluster. We are ok with Lane. Not excited but ok with it. The others we don't even consider as options. We will have to come up with a Plan B once middle school happens.

I'm one of the previous posters who mentioned that we are OK with Lane (then slated for Hayfield) but that we'll probably leave after that--either go private or move. PP's comment about being fine with Lane but not necessarily excited about it reflect my thoughts as well. The link below is Lane's profile on the FFX County Schools website. There are tabs at the top for demographics, test scores, etc. I have compared the demographics and test scores at Lane with various other elementary schools that are well thought of (mostly in the Springfield/Burke area--specifically Cherry Run, Hunt Valley, & Orange Hunt) and, while the demographics are very different, the scores aren't really THAT different. For example, Grade 3 SOL scores at Cherry Run in 09-10 were reading: 93, social studies: 98, math: 98, and science: 98.6. At Lane they were reading: 84, history: 98, math: 99, and science: 96. The reading score is obviously significantly lower, but I don't know how much of that is a result of ESOL children. Aside from that, I have a neighbor who works within the AAP program (at a different elementary school) and knows all of the elementary schools well. She is fine with her child attending Lane, but will be moving before middle school.
