Agree, for the seamstress wannabe, too. I think you could develop a useful amount of skill without a huge investment of time/effort/money. |
I would love to be smarter. Maybe it's just mommy brain, but I really have a hard time focusing and grasping concepts that did not used to be difficult for me. Will I ever get my brain back? My kids are 3 and 5 (so you'd think the mommy-brain would have eased up by now) and I do work in a professional setting, albeit P/T (so it's not that I don't get to use the logical side of my brain regularly). |
I'm not gonna lie, it's fun as hell! Which is why I am taking classes again as an adult. I wish I had some artistic ability. My 6 year old draws better than I do. |
I wish I were more of a "go-getter". Instead, I'm a Type B person and an introvert to boot.
I also wish I would stop trying to want to be a "go-getter" and just accept myself the way I am. |
Math talent. I would love to have been a civil engineer as I love to watch all the road building projects and am amazed how it all is put together. |
Not really a talent, but can I wish away having a lot of anxiety around crowds and crowded places? Not really a fear that goes well with living in this area.
Oh wait - a sense of direction! Can I wish for a great sense of direction. I think I'd fear the first less if I werent' constantly getting lost. |
The power to heal with a single touch. |
ditto. i would love to speak math. |
I wish I could public speak. I am fine in small groups, but get me in front of large group and I get so nervous. |
First to song. Second, a bit more cynical, but the talent to be a good and believable pretentious BSer. |
Me too! |
I'd love to be able to belt out a song like Koko Taylor, Irma Thomas, Aretha Franklin, Dinah Washington, or Whitney Houston! |
I am widely known as one of the world's best liars. I can make you believe pretty much anything. It's not as helpful as you'd think. Mostly good as a party trick, which, come to think of it, goes for singing as well. Having an excellent singing voice is only one part of making it to the bigtime. Not even the most important part. I think one would mostly do it for one's own enjoyment. Sort of like my lying. |
I majored in classical voice and everyone can sing. Everyone can't sing at the Metropolitan Opera but everycan sing. Also, singing is one of the best things you can do for yourself. I still sing solos at church and a few other occasions and it is a teriffic high. Find a teacher and take a few lessons and you will learn correct voice placement and it will give you a better and longer lasting high than an orgasm. Please do this for yourself because it will make you so happy. Getting back to the original question, I would have liked to have a good sense of business and how to invest wisely. |
Definitely singing!! My inner Gwen Stefani / Shirley Manson would LOVE to rock a stage. Sadly, I can't carry a tune to safe my life. ![]() |
