My round dining table - we eat dinner on it every night and it really fosters conversation. |
my bed. |
I want a round table! We don't have to space. |
Honestly, only some of DS' artwork. Most of our furniture was my in-laws'. The things that we have bought ourselves aren't anything special. Pretty sad. |
I'd like to join your "yoga" group! Sad, but true. Mine is our TV. It was our only pre-baby splurge b/c we both love movies and figured we wouldn't get a chance to go very often once baby arrived. So true. Now, 5 years and two kids later, it's still my favorite thing in the house... |
Is it sad that I cannot think of one thing I like that I have in my home?
How about this - the coffeepot and my burr grinder. |
1+ (thanks "1+" poster for this!) |
I love everything in my home. It is what makes my home...my escape...my sanctuary, and I love coming home to it every night. It sounds cheesy, but I really do love my home. |
Me too. My new black round table and chairs from Ikea are my favorite things. What makes it even better is knowing that we got a good deal. The chairs were being closed out at $12 each and the whole thing cost less than $250. Sweet! Here's the table - http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20116778 |
I say this with no snark, nastiness, or anything else that could be construed as ugly. I am happy for you. Everyone needs a sanctuary, and if it is your home, that is a blessing. |
My books. My old photo albums. My collection of postcards. |
The huge playroom in the basement for the kids. I can shut the door and do much less pickup of toys.
The garden tub - nothing better than a book, glass of wine and water running to drown out the kids. My dog. |
I'm with the home-is-my-sanctuary poster. I love my house. I love my kitchen - everything about it and hanging out in it and that we can eat in it (originally it wasn't eat in, we renovated). I love our TV and vegging out on the couch. I love our furniture that our cat has destroyed with his claws.
I love that our house is old and the hardwood floors creak. I love my comfortable bed and my daughter's room with all her books and animals and ladybag night light and rocking chair!!! I HATE our 1940s tiny bathroom that we all share. But maybe one day we will redo it. Unfortunately it probably won't get any bigger but we'll live. |
Ugh - right there with you! I would love a bathroom remodel. We can't make ours bigger either, but at least it would be updated and I wouldn't have to stare at cracked turqoise tile with black edges every time I take a shower. |
My children and DH. W/out them it wouldn't be a home. |
