Early release?

Lovely winter scene with minimal commute impacts. Perfect!

We'll see about the freezing rain tomorrow. A delay would reduce risks, I agree, but I don't know if schools will take the threat seriously considering there's been so many snow days. There's a lot of pressure to have a normal schedule.

If I were the one making the decision, it would have to be a 5am announcement. The freezing rain isn't starting until the wee hours, and before that, it's anyone's guess how it's going to impact roads, which are currently still warm from this weekend's spring temperatures.

It’s the HS kids who are making their way to the bus stop at 6.30 am in the dark. HS needs later start times

Better the high schoolers than the elementary kids walking to the bus stop. The problem is one group has to go early. Parents don't want their young kids going in the dark. High schoolers need more sleep. There's no win here.

It shouldn't be either/or. We should be doing enough busing that everyone starts at 8:30am, or something reasonable like that. Some elementary schools start at 9:30am, which is way too late for working parents, and some high schoolers need to get up before 6 to catch their buses. It's not reasonable that we're running on such few buses and making so many families suffer.

One more week and your high schooler will no longer be walking in the dark this school year. Spring forward ugh

Just close. Who cares if it's another snow day. Open childcare if parents need.

Parents and kids who value education is who cares, thanks. We’ve barely been in school since we got back from winter break

CWG gave it a 45% chance of delay tomorrow morning.
