My kid is at Blair. This is tacky. Please grow up.

Are you joking? Taylor is Mr. Tacky.

Let's start with his snow day videos where he appropriates Black culture. Isn't that tacky?

Or how about when he puts on a hair net and trots out food service workers so he can cosplay a metaphor where he plays with our $3 billion worth of tax dollars as he talks through his operating budget. Not tacky?

Taylor's unwillingness to seriously address longstanding safety concerns with MCPS is worth pointing out and mocking. Sorry you're interested in defending his failures.

Wow, someone's virtue signaling is getting in the way of actual virtue. PP you are responding to. I only meant to have some empathy for the parents and children who are processing this as it is happening. Our culture is so bent on score settling that it's hard to just have empathy. Please, please save your ranting for another day.

Good news: You don't control others' speech, especially on an anonymous forum.

However, if my posts bother you, feel free to scroll past them.

The "answer" was to hire the former MCpd chief. Remember? With YOUR tax $

Cops are already there, so I'm sure there will be many questions to answer afterward but if your kid is on lockdown, they are likely safe.

This doesn’t jive with the message the school sent out:

“Montgomery Blair has resumed normal operations at this time.

After a clear and verified threat outside the school building, Montgomery Blair went through our emergency procedures creating the lockdown situation.

Montgomery County Police have investigated the situation and ensured we are currently safe. At no time was any member of our community directly in harm's way or immediate danger.

Is the school lying?

Indeed. A colossal mistake that Taylor should have undone a long time ago. But he didn't. And here we are.

They can't even be lying. It's just word salad.

You can join the countless families at the other MCPHS who have gone through this MULTIPLE times. Isn't it sad when there is a support group! The only thing left by these families is to bring together a suit. A place of learning and this is what kids who are there for its intended purpose are facing. Sad.

A suit? For what, an accepted part of American life? People may not like it, and many may agree it’s crazy, but explain how you think MCPS should be exempt from something that happens all over this country. More importantly, explain what you think MCPS should do to prevent it.

Metal detectors, clear backpacks, AI, etc etc.

They've tried that other places and after investing millions found it only made things worse and ended up removing them. I guess some people never learn.
