A 10-episode A Different World sequel series is in production for Netflix, with filming starting in Atlanta in February 2026. The show centers on Deborah Wayne, the daughter of Whitley and Dwayne, as she navigates her freshman year at Hillman College. Original stars Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Cree Summer, and Darryl M. Bell return in recurring roles, with Debbie Allen directing and executive producing. Although he is not directly involved, unfortunately Bill Cosby will profit. |
