Yes, our street is just wet right now, but we're on a bus route.
And none of the cars parked on the street are getting out without a flamethrower. The stuff the plows pushed to the side is a door-handle-height wall of cement at this point. Just chiseling off the slab of ice at the end of our driveway took my husband three hours this morning. I do think the ones who ignored the advice to shovel early ended up being better off. Yeah, it's heavy, but at least it's not adhered to the pavement. |
| We saw the first plow yesterday around 11am on the road that loops around our neighborhood. They came back around overnight and got the side streets. We can get around easily now. |
We shoveled early yesterday, but let the snow accumulate before the sleet. |
OMG go onto the counties website moron. You will be plowed by tomorrow afternoon at the latest freak |
You check websites to find out that some time 72 hours after a snow storm starts roads will be plowed. You need a website to tell you that and... you call others morons. |
Announce already no school so everyone can plan. meals can be delivered to students. Etc. They could have easily planned after the pandemic to have virtual on snow days. Everything was in place in 2020. Not ideal but wouldn't have to make up days in June. Students could see their friends and check in with teacher. Teachers check in, teach a lesson, read or have independent reading, they can reinforce the lesson when class meets again in-person. A county that used to lead the country in public education....two steps back. |
They are on here complaining they don't know when plows are coming. Scarcasm.... How stupid are they?? There is ice on the ground temp is not going above 22 today and these idiots are complaining on here. Yes they are morons. |
| I am on a primary route and yesterday the county page said it would be plowed this aftrernoon. Now it is saying tomorrow 9pm. This is an utter disaster. I feel like I am being gaslit because every other storm we were salted and plowed during the actual storm and I have never had a complaint. This is now concerning considering the upcoming weather. |

All plowed and clear. We are on a bus route.
The only annoying thing was the first plow pushed snow 5 feet up our driveway after we had completely shoveled it. It was much easier to shovel yesterday than today because of the accumulated ice on top of 1/2 inch of snow. Now I know why people dig out only up to the last few feet of their driveway apron. After the plows come through a couple of times they can do the rest. |
| A neighbor with a bobcat plowed our road. Haven't seen a county plow. |
Exactly this is ridonc shut one down |
Why don’t you want school to open? |
| Why is this on the MCPS forum? |
Because it highly affects whether schools will be open? |
Nope. Website shows 8:49 PM Tuesday for my neighborhood |
